NORMAN, Okla. - SMU senior golfer Colt Knost, Houston junior Jordan Irwin and Tulsa seniors Mitch Cohlmia, Ryan Henry, Sam Korbe, Brett Myers and sophomore Nicholas Geyger were all named to a PING All-Regional Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America. The seven selections are the most in Conference USA history.

Knost was selected to the All-South Central Region Team for the second straight year. The 2007 Conference USA Golfer of the Year, Knost won three tournaments on the season. He also qualified for the EDS Byron Nelson Championship and became the first amateur since 1993 to make the cut following a scorching round of 64 during day two of the PGA event. Knost is currently ranked 10th in the nation by the Sagarin Ratings and 17th by GolfStat.

Irwin, another All-Conference USA first team member, was named to the All-South Central Region with Knost. The junior was selected as an at-large participant to the NCAA Central Regional, where he tied for 63rd place.

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane fivesome were each named to the All-Central Region Team. Korbe, who also received the GCAA's prestigious Byron Nelson Award earlier today, and Henry are making their second straight regional appearances as well. They are joined by classmates Cohlmia and Myers, as well as sophomore Geyger. The five combined for seven medalist honors during the regular season.

Tulsa won the 2007 Conference USA title and the NCAA Central Regional to advance to this weekend's NCAA Championship. In addition, the Golden Hurricane took the team title in two other tournaments during the 2006-07 season, and posted nine Top 5 finishes.

The nine PING All-Region teams are each comprised of the top 15 individuals in their region in the Individual Ranking System. Additionally, any player ranked nationally in the top 75 according to the Golfstat or the Sagarin rankings not included in their regions' top 15 are added to their All-Region team. Members of the PING All-Region teams are automatically eligible for PING All-America honors, which will be announced following the NCAA Division I Championships being held this week in Williamsburg, Va.
