IRVING, Texas - East Carolina's Chris Ault and Marshall's Larie Lynch claim this season's first Conference USA Golfer of the Week awards. Ault tied for third at the Mid Pines Intercollegiate in Pinehurst, N.C. with a seven-under par 209. The senior carded a career-low of 209 for the 54-hole event. His efforts helped the Pirates earn their first team tournament championship since 2005.

Ault tied for third at the Mid Pines Intercollegiate in Pinehurst, N.C. with a seven-under par 209. The senior carded a career-low of 209 for the 54-hole event. The Pennsylvania native shot a one-under par in the first and third rounds, while shooting a five-under par in round two (71-67-71=209). The top five finish was the sixth of his career and his first since the 2005-06 season. His efforts helped the Pirates earn their first team tournament championship since 2005 and the first not on their home course since 2002. The weekly honor is the second of Ault's career.
