IRVING, Texas - Houston senior Jordan Irwin was the individual champion at the Kansas Invitational after shooting a three-round combined 1-under-par 215 and for his efforts was named C-USA Men's Golfer of the Week for the period ending Sept. 18.

Irwin took medalist honors at the Kansas Invitational after shooting a three-round combined 1-under-par score of 215 on the par 72, 7092-yard course at the Alvamar Golf Club. Irwin shot an even par on 36 holes during the tournament and was eight strokes under par on the par 5 holes throughout the tournament. His second-round score of 2-under-par equaled his lowest 18-hole score this season and gave him the lead through the first two rounds of the tournament. He finished with a 1-under-par 71 on the final day, his second-best round this season. The weekly honor is the third of his career.
