UCF Ties Cincinnati
March 25, 2006
ORLANDO - A goal by freshman Jake Howard in the waning minutes of regulation gave the UCF men's soccer team a 1-1 tie with visiting Cincinnati in an exhibition game on Saturday at the UCF Soccer Complex. The Bear Cats struck first in the opening five minutes of the match, but the Golden Knights continued to earn their own scoring chances. One such opportunity came in the 54th minute when senior Billy Judino set up freshman Tyler Davis directly in front of the Cincinnati goalkeeper, who made the save. UCF would tie the contest with just five minutes remaining in regulation as Howard scored with an assist to Judino. The Golden Knights caps off its spring season against 2005 NCAA College Cup Finalist New Mexico on March 30 at 6:30 p.m. at the UCF Soccer Complex. Admission is free to all fans.
