SLU’s Selolwane Among Soccer America MVPs

St. Louis - Soccer America magazine has selected Saint Louis University senior forward Dipsy Selolwane (Gaborone, Botswana) to its list of NCAA Division I Most Valuable Players.

The Conference USA Player of the Year and a Missouri Athletic Club national Player of the Year candidate, Selolwane's 54 points (25G, 4A) was the Billikens' best total since 1995 national Player of the Year Matt McKeon compiled 54 and tied for seventh all-time on the SLU single-season list. Selolwane's 25 goals was the third-best single-season total in Billiken history. He led the nation in goals scored and tied Soccer America Player of the Year Luchi Gonzalez of SMU for the national lead in total points.

The C-USA champion Billikens (18-2-0) were ranked second nationally entering the
NCAA Tournament and reached the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Tournament
before being eliminated by Stanford.
