DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU men's soccer team closed out its spring season on a strong note with a 4-1 victory over visiting Midwestern State Friday evening at Westcott Field on the campus of SMU.

In the first half, freshman Dane Saintus knocked in a shot off a Ryan Mirsky rebounded shot at the 5:20 mark. Midwestern State knotted the game at 1-1 at the 24:53 mark with a one-timer shot. In the second half, junior Adrian Chevannes went 1v1 with the Wildcat goalkeeper and scored at the 50:59 mark, giving SMU a 2-1 lead. Nearly 10 minutes later, Chevannes received a long pass from Mirsky, made a nifty move around the MSU goalkeeper and shot into an empty net. Sophomore Paulo da Silva closed out the Mustang scoring with shot off a Jaime Benetiz feed at the 74:52 mark.
