Coach Richie Grant concluded his annual youth soccer camp this afternoon. The week long, half day camp for boy and girls aged 5 to 14 focused attention to player development in the game's fundamental aspects. The coaching experience was a hands on one.

"It was a test," he noted, "but I enjoyed spending the week with some future Tiger fans."

Grant was assisted by Graduate Assistant Nick Glaser and members of the University of Memphis soccer program.

Grant noted a marked rise in the quality of players who attended the camp and is encouraged that soccer's popularity is on the rise.

Coach Grant will host the 2007 Richie Grant Soccer Camp July 15-19 at Lambuth University. While registration for the camp is still open, the residential section is nearly full, and the kids section has several openings.
