Charlotte's Adam Ruud Named to College Soccer News' National Team of the Week

The Charlotte 49ers men's soccer's junior forward Adam Ruud was named to College Soccer News' National Team of the Week for his efforts in the team's win at Saint Louis. He also earned Conference USA Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors for his play at Saint Louis.

He is the first Charlotte player to earn national team of the week honors since Joe Lampert was named to Soccer America's national team of the week, October 30, 2002. He is the ninth Charlotte player to earn national team of the week honors since 1995.

Ruud scored both of Charlotte's goals in their 2-0 victory at preseason C-USA favorite Saint Louis. He scored a goal in each half. Ruud's two goals increased his team-leading total to six for the season, which moved him into a tie for third place in C-USA in goals.

Ruud and the rest of the 49ers hope to continue their winning ways with Conference USA games at East Carolina, today and at home against Cincinnati, Saturday, October 9 at 7 pm.
