Saint Louis' Politis and USF's Krauss Named Men's Soccer Co-Players of the Week

John Politis

DEFENSIVE
JOHN POLITIS, GK, SAINT LOUIS

Politis recorded back-to-back road shutouts in Conference USA play, keeping the Billikens in position to win the regular season title. He made five saves, including one on a penalty kick, in SLU's 1-0 win at Marquette on Oct. 24. Then, Politis made a career-high nine saves in a 1-0 overtime win at then conference-leading Memphis on October 28. This is the second time this season that Politis has earned Defensive Player of the Week honors.

OFFENSIVE
GREG KRAUSS, F, SOUTH FLORIDA

Krauss scored four goals on the week, leading the Bulls to a pair of conference victories. He scored his second hat trick of the season, including the game-winner in USF's 4-2 win at DePaul on Oct. 25. Krauss then netted the game-winning goal in double overtime to give the Bulls a 2-1 win over Louisville. This is the second time this season that Krauss has been named Offensive Player of the Week.
