Saint Louis' Politis and USF's Krauss Named Men's Soccer Co-Players of the Week

DEFENSIVE
JOHN POLITIS, GK, SAINT LOUIS
Politis recorded back-to-back road shutouts in Conference USA play, keeping
the Billikens in position to win the regular season title. He made five
saves, including one on a penalty kick, in SLU's 1-0 win at Marquette on
Oct. 24. Then, Politis made a career-high nine saves in a 1-0 overtime win
at then conference-leading Memphis on October 28. This is the second time
this season that Politis has earned Defensive Player of the Week honors.
OFFENSIVE
GREG KRAUSS, F, SOUTH FLORIDA
Krauss scored four goals on the week, leading the Bulls to a pair of
conference victories. He scored his second hat trick of the season,
including the game-winner in USF's 4-2 win at DePaul on Oct. 25. Krauss
then netted the game-winning goal in double overtime to give the Bulls a 2-1
win over Louisville. This is the second time this season that Krauss has
been named Offensive Player of the Week.
