Nov. 1, 2006 The SMU Mustangs are the 2006 Conference USA men's soccer champions after downing second-seeded Kentucky, 2-0, on Sunday afternoon. Chase Wileman and Adrian Chevannes scored for SMU. With the win, the Mustangs grab C-USA's automatic berth into the NCAA Championship. Click on the championship logo to the right on the main men's soccer page for gametracker links and complete tournament coverage. 2006 C-USA MEN'S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP WEDNESDAY, NOV. 1 The No. 1 seed SMU Mustangs began the 2006 Conference USA men's soccer championship with a dominating 6-0 win over Florida International on Wednesday afternoon at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium on the campus of the University of Tulsa. C-USA men's soccer Player of the Year Bruno Guarda began the scoring for SMU with an unassisted goal in the 21st minute of the first half and the Mustangs remained in control for the rest of the contest. SMU improved to 16-1-3 (5-1-2 C-USA) with the win, while FIU ends its regular season at 6-10-2 (2-6-0).
GAME TWO
UAB's Jerson Monteiro scored the game winning goal with just under one minute to play to give the Blazers a 3-2 win over South Carolina in game two of the 2006 Conference USA men's soccer championship being held at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium on the campus of the University of Tulsa. Montiero's 13th goal improved UAB to 10-6-2 (4-3-1 C-USA), while South Carolina ends its regular season at 11-4-1 (4-3-1 C-USA). GAME THREE
Riley O'Neill scored the final two Kentucky goals to help the Wildcats defeat Memphis, 3-1, in game three of the 2006 Conference USA men's soccer championship at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium on the campus of the University of Tulsa. This was the fifth multi-goal game of the season for O'Neill and his 17 total goals on the season are a new GAME FOUR
