Louisville Sweeps Nov. 4 Men's Soccer Awards

Louisville sophomore forward SIMON BIRD is the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 4. Bird scored both game-winning goals this week against Charlotte and Memphis as the Cardinals continue to battle for a berth in the Conference USA Tournament. On the week Bird scored three goals. He leads Louisville this season with 11 goals, ranking him fifth in the U of L single-season record book.

DEFENSIVE:

Louisville goalkeeper JEREMY MORALES is the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 4. Morales tallied 10 saves this week and notched his 23rd career shutout and fourth of the season in a 1-0 win over Charlotte. Morales corralled two saves in the second half to secure the victory over the 49ers. He had seven saves against Memphis, including one in overtime that secured a Cardinal victory.
