Martin Rey's penalty kick 13 minutes into overtime lifted UAB to a 1-0 victory over Furman, while two second half goals, including the game-winner by Scott Cown lifted South Florida to a 2-1 win over Akron in first round NCAA men's soccer tournament action.

UAB will face South Carolina in Columbia, while South Florida will battle Penn State in State College, Pa. Both matches will be played on Sunday afternoon.
