    C-USA AT NCAA SWEET 16
For the second time in five years, two Conference USA men's soccer teams have advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. C-USA is one of five leagues nationally with at least two teams in the Sweet 16.

No. 2 Saint Louis (17-1-0) hosts No. 11 Loyola-Md. Saturday at 7 p.m. at Hermann Stadium. The Greyhounds are 17-1-2. The winner of the Saint Louis-Loyola match will meet the winner of the Stanford-Portland third round match on the weekend of Dec. 9 for the right to advance to the Final Four.

By virtue of its overtime wins over Furman and at South Carolina last weekend, No. 23 UAB travels to Clemson, S.C. to meet the fourth-ranked Tigers Sunday at 1 p.m. CST. The winner of that third round match will face the winner of the Rutgers-Indiana third round contest on the weekend of December 9, with the winner advancing to the Final Four.

    THIRD TIME IS THE CHARM
Saint Louis senior forward DIPSY SELOLWANE was named to the Nov. 18 Soccer America Team of the Week. That marks the third time this season that Selolwane has been honored, as he joins former South Florida star KEVIN ALVERO as the only players in Conference USA history to receive Soccer America's top weekly award three times in the same season.

    NATIONAL AWARDS NOMINEES
Saint Louis sophomore BRAD DAVIS and senior DIPSY SELOLWANE are among the 15 candidates for the Missouri Athletic Club's National Player of the Year Award.

Selolwane is a two-time Soccer America Team of the Week honoree who leads the nation in goals per game (1.33) and is second in points (2.92). Davis has also been recognized by Soccer America and is third in assists (0.71).

SLU faces Loyola-Md. this Saturday for the right to advance to the quarterfinals against the winner of No. 3 Stanford and No. 19 Portland. The Billikens have outshot 12 of their last 14 opponents, and DIPSY SELOLWANE's 52 points is Saint Louis' best single-season total since 1995 Missouri Athletic Club National Player of the Year Matt McKeon had 54.

    SOUTH FLORIDA
South Florida made its fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in the last six years, falling to No. 11 Penn State in triple overtime, 1-0. The Bulls advanced to the second round with a 2-1 victory over Akron. JEFF THWAITES and JASON CUDJOE each scored 10 goals for the Bulls this season, while Thwaites led the team with 26 points.
