AUSTIN - Ralph Knupfer and Christoph Müller had to wait through a rainy morning before taking the court for a doubles quarterfinal match Monday on day three of the ITA South Central Regional Championships at the Penick-Allison Tennis Center on the University of Texas campus.

The wait was well worth it as the German duo earned a gritty 9-8 victory over Dmitry Novikov and Mike Pavlov of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. They will face Texas Tech's Michael Breler and Sinisa Markovic Tuesday at 9:30am in the semifinals.

Müller's bid for the singles semifinals was stopped by Texas' Kellen Damico, who got off to a quick start by taking the opening set 6-0. Müller rebounded to even the match with a 6-4 second set triumph before falling 6-1 in the third.
