DALLAS (SMU) - Three SMU singles standouts and one doubles tandem have been ranked in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) regional rankings for 2007 as announced by the governing body of collegiate tennis.

Alex Skrypko leads the Mustangs, ranking ninth in the South Central Region. Fellow Mustangs Federico Murgier and David Kuczer follow at Nos. 29 and 30, respectively. Skrypko and Muriger combined to form the region's seventh ranked doubles team. As an overall team, SMU rates seventh in the region. Nationally, Skrypko raked 65th and the Mustangs were 50th.

The awards come on the heels of a season that saw SMU reach the semifinals of the Conference USA Championships and finish with a 16-9 season mark. Three SMU student-athletes were named All-Conference and eight players made the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.
