Player Profile

Hometown:
Spring, Texas

College:
Tulsa

Jillian Robbins is a leader on and off the court. She has embodied "leadership" this season as one of only two returning starters from last year's women's basketball team. She has guided six newcomers to the Tulsa women's basketball team into their role as a student-athlete and has taken it upon herself to show them what it takes to do both. Jillian's success on the court, as well as off the court, is remarkable.

Off the court, Jillian has overcome obstacles such as tearing her ACL as a true freshman to taking care of her two-year old son, Jordan, while obtaining her degree and playing Division I basketball.

Having a strong work ethic doesn't even come close to defining Jillian. She gives 100-percent each and every day in practice and at game time, but basketball is just a small part of what she accomplishes because of her work ethic.

Jillian, along with the rest of the Tulsa women's basketball team, has been adopted by Sequoyah Elementary School for the past two years. The players visit with the elementary school children throughout the school year, talking with them about being a student-athlete at Tulsa, reading to the kids and answering lots of questions, along with helping with other classroom activities.

Jillian was also very instrumental in planning a toy drive last year for the Boys and Girls Home. This event coincided with the annual Tulsa Mayor's Cup, in which Tulsa takes on cross-town rival Oral Roberts.

Shadow-A-Student-Athlete Day is another project Jillian has been involved in each year. This event invites local school children to the Tulsa campus to follow around a student-athlete. The student-athlete takes the child to class with them, shows them around campus, talks with them about their life as a student-athlete and what college means to them, and then has lunch with all of the area children participating in the event.

Jillian has also been involved in various activities through different campus organizations' Philanthropy Weeks throughout her collegiate career.

On the court, Jillian is a three-year letterwinner and starter. She has set nearly every record at Tulsa, as she holds the record for points (1,902), rebounds (1,211), field goals (671), free throws (552), steals (312), blocked shots (225) and double-doubles (60).
