TRIPLE-DOUBLE CLUB
Louisville's SARA NORD recorded the school's first-ever triple double and the second in C-USA history in the Cardinals win over Austin Peay, Dec. 29 in the championship game of the Kellogg's Holiday Classic. The 5-4 freshman scored 11 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out 11 assists. The first triple double in C-USA history was performed Dec. 3, 1999 by Monica Echeverria of South Florida (13 points, 21 rebounds, 10 assists.).

BURSE IN THE NCAA STATS:
For the second straight season, Tulane's JANELL BURSE is the only player in the nation to rank among the national leaders in four different categories. In the most recent stats, she is 36th in scoring (19.0 ppg), 15th in rebounding (10.5 rpg), 6th in field goal percentage (61.9) and 23rd in blocked shots (1.9 bpg).

JAN. 12 - ONE FOR THE RECORD BOOKS
Conference USA enjoyed a record-setting night on Jan. 12, as both teams and individuals turned in record-setting performances. Tulane broke its own record for fewest points allowed in a half with six against South Florida. The old record of 10 was set against Hartford on Dec. 30.

League records were also broken during Louisville's 99-97 overtime win over DePaul. The Cardinals' MARJU SOBER tied a league record for most three-pointers in a C-USA game when she hit eight from beyond the arc. As a team, Louisville hit a record-tying 13 treys. DePaul's LENAE WILLIAMS (38 points) tied the league's third-best single-game performance ever in a Conference USA game.

BLOCK PARTY
Tulane has three players ranked in the top five in blocked shots (Burse 45, McKiver 43, and Slaughter 40) and currently lead the league with 152 blocks as a team on the season which is the third best total in league history.

Louisville finished its home season with a perfect 13-0 record. The last time the Cards went undefeated was the 1996-97 season. Louisville is the only team to go undefeated at home twice in C-USA history.

2001 C-USA TOURNAMENT
All 12 Conference USA teams will compete in the Conference USA tournament, with the champion receiving the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship. The American and National Division champions will receive first round byes, along with the two institutions with the next best records. Teams receiving a bye shall be seeded 1-4. Division champions and seeding will be based on overall c onference finish during regular season play. The remaining eight teams will be seeded 5-12 with the No. 5 seed playing No. 12, No. 6 vs. No. 11, No. 7 vs. No. 10 and No. 8 vs. No. 9. Click here for more information.
