Sandora Irvin and Ashley Davis led the TCU Horned Frogs to a 60-41 win over Louisville on Sunday in the championship game of the 2005 Pepsi Conference USA Women's Basketball Tournament. The victory gives TCU its second conference tournament championship in three seasons and an automatic berth in the NCAA tournament.

Davis scored all 13 of her points in the second half as the Horned Frogs’ top three-point shooter led TCU’s offense to seal the victory, despite going scoreless in 10 minutes of play in the first half.

Louisville, the tournament's second seed, had taken its only lead of the game, 28-27 with 13:30 remaining, when Davis scored six consecutive points and nine of the Frogs' next 11.

“We lost Davis a few times and that hurt us. That’s what happens when you have someone who can hit the three,” said Louisville head coach Tom Collen.

Davis struggled in the first half, missing all four of her three-point attempts.

Conference USA player of the year Sandora Irvin also found her offensive touch in the second half, scoring 14 of her game-high 21 points.

Following a four-point play by Angel Bradley with 7:32 remaining, TCU used a 17-3 run to close the game.

“The key to us, especially in the second half, was we kept running,” said TCU head coach Jeff Mittie. “We shared the basketball better in the last 10 minutes of the game then we did in the previous 30.”

The Horned Frogs, the fourth seed, completed their second upset of a higher seed in as many days. On Saturday, TCU upset regular season champion and No. 11/12 DePaul 87-77.

Jazz Covington scored 19 for the Cardinals. Louisville suffered a setback when it lost starting forward Yuliya Tokova, who left the game at the 16:31 mark of the first half with an injury to her right knee and did not return.
