Tulsa, Oklahoma - A send-off pep rally is scheduled for Thursday, March 16, as the Tulsa women's basketball team departs for the 2006 NCAA Tournament in Chicago, Illinois.

The send-off pep rally will take place on the Chapman Plaza (northwest side) of the Donald W. Reynolds Center across from the LaFortune Dormitory Parking Lot. The festivities will begin at 1:15 p.m. The team will depart for Tulsa International Airport at 1:30 p.m.

The 12th-seeded Golden Hurricane (25-5) will take on the fifth-seeded North Carolina State Wolfpack (17-12) this Saturday, March 18 at approximately 9:30 p.m. CST at the San Antonio Region in Chicago, Illinois. The game will be played at Allstate Arena, and broadcast live on ESPN2.

Tulsa, the 2006 Conference USA regular season and tournament champions, is making its first NCAA Tournament appearance.
