TCU eliminates Indiana, 55-45

Kati Safaritova scored 12 points as eighth-seeded TCU used a dominating defense to beat ninth-seeded Indiana 55-45 in the East Regional on Friday. The Frogs (24-6) advanced to the second round, where they will face top-seeded Duke on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. EST on ESPN 2.

Indiana (17-14), making its first NCAA tournament appearance since 1995, shot just 24 percent and committed 20 turnovers. The Frogs also blocked six shots, four by Safaritova.

When the Hoosiers found an opening, they couldn't finish, going 3-for-17 from 3-point range and missing several shots inside the paint.

Indiana's Erin McGinnis had 13 points, and Jill Chapman - who came into the game averaging 16 points - finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Ashanti Nix and Ebony Shaw each added nine points for TCU, which outrebounded Indiana 48-34.
