Dant to Compete in Mountain Dew Three-Point Championship

Jenni Dant

DePaul senior Jenni Dant will compete in the 17th Annual Mountain Dew Three-Point Championship in conjunction with the Final Four on Thursday at Washington University in St. Louis.

The event, which will take place on Thursday at 6:30 p.m., will be televised three times on ESPN (March 31 – 8 p.m., April 2 – 2 p.m. and April 7 – 1 p.m.) and twice on ESPN2 (April 3 - 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.).

Dant will be joined in the women’s competition by Jamie Carey (Texas), Laurie Koehn (Kansas State), Leah Metcalf (North Carolina), Anne O’Neill (Iowa State) and Kendra Wecker (Kansas State).

Dant, a four-time All-Conference USA honoree, concluded her Blue Demon career ranked ninth on the school’s all-time three-point field goal list with 110. She is the only player in school history to score 1,600 points with 300 assists and 250 steals.

In addition, DePaul senior Drake Diener and his cousin Travis Diener of Marquette, both All-Conference USA selections, will give a double dose of C-USA representation in the 17th Annual Mountain Dew College Slam Dunk and Three-Point Championship. Drake led C-USA this season in three-point field goal percentage (.462) and ranked fifth in the nation. He holds the DePaul school records for both career three-point field goals (216) and season (85) set this year.
