The Games

Tournament Format
All 12 Conference USA teams will compete in the conference tournament, with the champion receiving the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.

The American and National Division champions will receive first round byes, along with the two institutions with the next best records. Teams receiving a bye shall be seeded 1-4. Division champions and seeding will be based on overall conference finish during regular season play. The remaining eight teams will be seeded 5-12 with the No. 5 seed playing No. 12, No. 6 vs. No. 11, No. 7 vs. No. 10 and No. 8 vs. No. 9.

Credentials are assigned and distributed by the conference office. SIDS at C-USA institutions are responsible for compiling local and regional media requests and forwarding them to the conference office. SIDS have received credential packets to distribute to their local and regional media. All other requests should be directed to the conference office using the Credential Request Form. All persons requesting credentials will be directly notified by the conference office of their status.

Media representatives covering the tournament will be expected to make their own hotel reservations. Please review Hotel Information for details.

NOTE: The deadline for all credential requests is February 13, 2001.
