CONFERENCE USA WOMEN'S BASKETBALL SHOOTING STARS (Sun. Nov. 22)
Junior Kim Gay grabbed her first double-double of the season with 19 points and 11 rebounds as East Carolina (4-0) defeated host America University, 70-65. Gay went 6-for-7 from both the field and the free throw line, and was just one off her career high in boards. With the win, head coach Sharon Baldwin-Tener needs just four victories to surpass Catherine Bolton as the winningest leader in the program history.
Freshman Nicole Dickson finished with a game-high 24 points and eight rebounds as Memphis picked up a 68-51 home win over UT Martin Sunday. Junior Taylor Mumphrey also reached double figures with 10 points and had six rebounds.
