CONFERENCE USA WOMEN'S BASKETBALL WEEKLY AWARD WINNERS

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
COURTNEY TAYLOR, HOUSTON
6-0, Jr., F (Crockett, Texas)

Taylor averaged 19 points, 12.7 rebounds and two blocks, as well as recording a pair of double-doubles last week. She also shot 54.8 percent from the field and 50.0 from 3-point line. The Crockett, Texas native scored a game-high 25 points and had 10 rebounds in a win at UT-Arlington. She followed up that performance with a career-best 19 rebounds, one shy of the school record, and netted 14 points in the team's season home opener win against Oregon State. Taylor scored a game-high 18 points in the final game of the week at No. 7 LSU. This is Taylor's first Player of the Week honor this season and third of her career.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
NICOLE DICKSON, MEMPHIS
6-0, Fr., F (Greeneville, Tenn.)

Dickson averaged 14 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals in a pair of Memphis wins. The freshman came up big against UT Martin on Sunday, when the Skyhawks' answer to Brittany Carter's slashing game was to pack the paint for 40 minutes in a 2-3 zone to keep the athletic guard out of there. Dickson found gaps and helped stretch the defense by going a perfect 4-for-4 from the 3-point line in the win over UTM. UTM came out and cut the Memphis lead to single digits at 47-38 when Dickson knocked down a 3 to push Memphis back in front by double-digits. The Skyhawks again cut the lead to 10 with 6:18 to play when Dickson knocked down another 3 to put Memphis back in front and to help them close out a 68-51 win. This is Dickson's first Freshman of the Week honor.
