IRVING, Texas -

CONFERENCE USA SHOOTING STARS (Tuesday, Dec. 1)
Senior guard Chassity Brown scored 14 of her 19 points in the second half, but none was bigger than her layup with 4.7 seconds left in regulation to lift Tulane (3-2) to a 73-71 win at South Alabama inside the Mitchell Center. Brown was one of three Tulane players to finish with a double-digit scoring total as junior forward Brittany Lindsey had 21 and sophomore center Brett Benzio added 18.

Junior Ashley Milian poured in a career-high 24 points off the bench to lead UTEP (5-2) past Western New Mexico, 73-56, at the Don Haskins Center. Milian's career night was accented nicely by sophomore post Fannie Goodwin tallying a season-high 13 points. Goodwin and Milian combined to go 15-of-19 from the field, and 7-of-of-9 at the charity stripe.

Taleya Mayberry, Tiffani Couisnard and Larrissa Williams all scored in double-digits for Tulsa (3-2), but it wasn't enough as the Golden Hurricane dropped an 86-77 decision to Central Arkansas at the Farris Center. Mayberry put up a team-leading 12 points, while Couisnard earned her first double-double scoring 11 points and pulling down a team-high 15 rebounds, and Williams added 10 points.

UAB (2-5) senior forward Tamika Dukes collected her sixth double-digit scoring game of the season with 12 points but 13th-ranked Georgia picked up a 71-42 victory over the Blazers at the Stegeman Coliseum.
