IRVING, Texas - Conference USA has named UAB's Crystal McFadden the Women's Basketball Player of the Week after earning Most Valuable Player honors at the Blazer Invitational tournament. McFadded racked up 28 points and had 14 rebounds in two games, including 19 points in the championship game victory over St. John's. She also flirted with a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds in UAB's opening round victory over Delaware State. Against Florida State, a team that was ranked among the Top 25 recently, McFadden racked up 13 points and had seven rebounds plus an assist and steal in 35 minutes of play. She shot over 40 percent over three games and averaged 13.7 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. The senior currently leads UAB in overall shooting percentage at .418 and continues to be one of the best free throw shooters in Conference USA, sinking 83.3 percent of her shots from the charity stripe, fifth-best in the league. She also ranks 12th in C-USA scoring with 12.8 ppg. This is McFadden's second career C-USA Player of the Week honor. C-USA WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
