2008 Texas Roadhouse Conference USA Women's Golf Championship Concludes Wednesday

EL PASO, Texas - UTEP hosts the 2008 Texas Roadhouse Conference USA Women's Golf Championship Monday through Wednesday (April 14-16) at the par-72, 6,294-yard Butterfield Trail Golf Club. Admission is free.
Eighteen holes will be played each day, with the first group teeing off at 8:30 a.m. MST on Monday and Tuesday and 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
Participating schools include East Carolina, Marshall, Memphis, SMU, Southern Miss, Tulsa, UAB, UCF and UTEP. The Tulsa Golden Hurricane cut seven strokes off their first-round performance and registered a second-round 297 to move into the top spot after day two of the 2008 Texas Roadhouse Conference USA Women's Golf Championship at the par 72, 72, 6,294-yard Butterfield Trail Golf Club. Tulsa (601) moved up four spots during the round and holds a seven-stroke lead over second-place East Carolina (608) entering Wednesday's final round. On the strength of an even par 72 from Southern Miss sophomore Clara Viladomiu, the Golden Eagles held a two-stroke lead entering day two after carding a 301 (+13) on day one on Monday of the 2008 C-USA Texas Roadhouse Women's Golf Championship. A total of 44 golfers played 18 holes in Monday's opening round at the par 72, 6,294-yard Butterfield Trail Golf Club in El Paso, Texas, during a beautiful day that was highlighted by strong play from the league's underclassmen.
