IRVING, Texas (C-USA/SMU) - SMU golfers Kate Ackerson and Lacey Jones have each been tabbed a 2008 All-Conference USA selection, as selected by the conference's head coaches. The Mustang two-some earned second-team honors, as each was honored for the third straight year. Jones was a first-team pick in 2006 and 2007, while Ackerson was a first-teamer in 2007 and a third-team selection in 2006.

"I'm really glad that we placed two players on the All-Conference team," said Head Coach Todd Selders. "Lacey had a great four years at SMU and it is nice that she can go out with honors. I was worried that Kate might not get recognized since she was hurt in the first tournament of the spring, but the coaches had enough respect for to put her on the squad and I'm very happy for her."

Seven league teams were represented on the All-Conference USA teams. UCF led all C-USA teams with four all-league selections, while East Carolina and Tulsa had three all-conference selections. SMU was next with two all-league honors. Championship host UTEP, along with Memphis and Southern Miss each had one honoree.
