Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tulsa senior Leisl Hasbrouck was one of two amateur players to earn a spot in the LPGA's SemGroup Championship this Thursday-Sunday, May 1-4 at the Cedar Ridge Country Club in Broken Arrow, Okla.

Five student-athletes from across the nation were invited to today's qualifying round, including TU's Hasbrouck and Michaela Cavener.

Hasbrouck shot a six-over par 77 in today's qualifying round.

"This was a huge test for me to see if I was ready to play at the next level," Hasbrouck said. "Today all my hard work paid off. I will have to go into the LPGA SemGroup Championship like it is any other tournament. I am absolutely excited and it is an honor to have this opportunity."

Just over a week ago, Hasbrouck shot her best tournament finish of the season with a second-place performance at the Conference USA Championships. She placed among the top-20 in three other events this year.
