Conference USA had a week for the record books, with three players earning medalist honors in last week's men's golf action. Jackie Lindsey of Houston, James Kwon of SMU and Jade Scott of Rice all earned medalist honors in their respective tournaments.
Lindsey won the Husky Invitational after carding a 1-under-par 143 and guiding the Cougars to a first-place finish. Kwon defended his 2008 title at the Baylor Intercollegiate with repeat medalist honors after he carded a 6-under-par 207. The sophomore guided the Mustangs to a second-place finish in a field that featured seven of the top-50 teams in the nation. Jade Scott earned medalist honors at the David Toms Intercollegiate and led the Rice men's team to a share of fifth place in a field that featured eight of the top-100 schools in the nation.
UCF highlighted the women's golf action this past week, registering a third-place finish at the FIU/Pat Bradley Invitational behind the efforts of Valentina Fontaine. Fontaine had three-consecutive rounds in red numbers and earned second-place honors at the FIU/Pat Bradley Invitational in the 15-team field.

MALE CO-GOLFERS OF THE WEEK
JAMES KWON, SMU, So., (Stratford, Texas)
Kwon earned medalist honors at Baylor Intercollegiate with a three-round total of 207, despite an opening round 76. The sophomore bounced back and was 11-under-par over the final 36 holes. The Stratford, Texas native propelled the Mustangs to a second-place finish in a field that featured seven of the top-50 squads in the nation. This marks Kwon's second career Golfer of the Week award (Oct. 29, 2008).
JADE SCOTT, Rice, Fr., (Daingerfield, Texas)
Scott began the final round of the David Toms Intercollegiate in a four-way tie for eighth, but registered five-consecutive birdies and posted a 6-under-par 65 to earn medalist honors by one stroke. The Owls finished tied for fifth place in a 15-team field that featured 10 of the top-100 teams in the nation. This is Scott's first career Golfer of the Week honor.
FEMALE GOLFER OF THE WEEK
VALENTINE FONTAINE, UCF, Fr., (Santiago, Chile)
Fontaine registered three consecutive sub-par rounds and finished the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational with a 5-under-par 211 to earn second-place honors. The freshman guided the Knights to a third-place finish in the 15-team field. This marks Fontaine's first career Golfer of the Week accolade.
