IRVING, Texas - East Carolina claimed its third tournament title of the fall season after carding a 54-hole score of 906 at the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate Tuesday afternoon. The Pirates (46-14), who led the tournament wire-to-wire, opened with a first round score of 308, fired a 295 in the second round and closed out with a 303 for their third title in four events this season. Freshman Amber Littman claimed her second top five placement of the season after shooting a four-over par 220 (77-73-70) for a third place finish and C-USA Co-Golfer of the Week accolades.

MICHAELA CAVENER - Tulsa

Cavener turned in her best finish of the season and her third top-7 performance in four fall tournaments at the Landfall Tradition. She placed fourth in a field of 60 golfers and carded rounds of 78-68-73 for a three-over par 219 total at the par-72 Country Club of Landfall. Cavener's efforts helped TU to a 5th place finish in the field of 12. This is the fifth career weekly honor for the two-time All-Conference USA performer and her third nod this fall.

AMBER LITTMAN - East Carolina

Littman recorded her second top-3 finish in her first four collegiate tournaments when she claimed third place at the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate. The freshman carded a career-low 54-hole score of 220 while tying her personal-best round of 70 on the final day. She ranked first in the field in par-5 scoring (-5), third in par-4 scoring (+4), fifth in birdies (8) and 10th in pars (34). Littman helped the Pirates to their third team title in four fall events with a team score of 906 (308-295-303). The weekly honor is the first of Littman's career.

Emelie Lind posted her second consecutive top four finish, when she claimed a share of fourth place... MARSHALL
Larie Lynch tied for 21st overall to lead the Thundering Herd to a 10th place finish at the Ross Resorts Invitational... Lynch shot a 78 in Tuesday's round to finish with a three-round total of 237... In Monday's opening rounds, Lynch had scores of 78 and 81, respectively... Andrea Grier finished in a tie for 53rd place with a three-round total of 248 (90 74 84), finishing just ahead of Molly Ginger and Whitney Wolejko, who tied for 58th place overall... The Herd will wrap up its fall season next week with a trip to the UAB Fall Beach Blast. The tournament, which will be held in Gulf Shores, Ala., will take place on Monday and Tuesday.
MEMPHIS
With three golfers participating in FIU's Pat Bradley Championship Monday, Memphis wrapped up its fall schedule in Fort Meyers, Fla... Rachel Larson, Alexa Porter and Dawn-Marie Conaty finished the tournament and both Larson and Porter finished in the top-20 individually... Larson paced the Tigers with a 225 (74-77-74) for sole possession of 12th place while Porter, three strokes behind (74-77-77, 228) ended her fall campaign with a 15th place finish. Conaty (82-76-79, 237) finished 39th... The Tigers will begin their spring season at Campbell University's Fighting Camel Classic in Buies Creek, N.C., on February 25.
SMU
SMU had a tough second round at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown at the 6,083-yard, par-72 Angel Park Golf Club on Tuesday... After an opening round score of 302 on Monday, SMU shot 315 for the second 18, slipping to 16th in the 18-team field at 617... Individually, only two Mustangs broke 80 on Tuesday - Kate Ackerson (74) and Paige Martin (78). Ackerson and Martin are tied for 64th at 155... The Mustangs' final tournament of the fall season will conclude on Wednesday.
SOUTHERN MISS
Southern Miss shot its lowest round of the Jeannine McHaney/Audrey Morehead Invitational October 9, by posting a 324 score to place 14th in the event... Rebecka Nilsson led the Eagles with a 77 over her final 18 holes to place tied for 31st with a 239 total... Clara Viladomiu collected an 83 over her final round to place tied for 62 with a 251... The Eagles return to action, Oct. 29-31, for the Gainesville Shootout II, to be held at the UF Golf Course.
TULSA
Tulsa finished in fifth at The Landfall Tradition on Sunday afternoon as senior Michaela Cavener led the Hurricane with a fourth-place finish in the individual race at the par-72 at the Country Club of Landfall... The Hurricane carded a final round 300 and finished with a score of 900... Cavener, propelled by her four-under 68 on Saturday, carded a one-over par 73 today and finished the 54-hole event with a score of three-over par 219 to finish in a three-way tie for fourth place... It marked the third top-7 finish in four fall tournaments for Cavener... She was awarded C-USA Co-Golfer of the Week for her efforts... Tulsa closed out the fall season and will not be back in action until Feb. 25-26 at the Fresno State Invitational.
UAB
UAB tied for eighth place at the Lady Indian Classic Oct. 8-9, with a two-round score of 637... The Blazers shot a low round of 315 during round one, followed by a 322 in the second round... Jaime Brabb led UAB with rounds of 78 and 76 to tie for 11th place in the individual standings with a total of 154... Christina Wentworth and Lindsay Taylor tied for the 25th position by tallying a 157, including identical first-round scores of 77 and second-round totals of 80... The Blazers final competition of the 2007 fall season will be on Nov. 5-6 when they host the UAB Fall Beach Blast in Gulf Shores, Ala.
UCF
UCF placed 12th in the team standings at the UA-Ann Rhoads Intercollegiate on Sunday... The Knights posted a final round score of 317 (+33) to finish the tournament with a team score of 920... Junior May Tomimbang was the top individual finisher for the Knights, tying for 19th (225, +12)... Tomimbang closed the tournament with a 75 (+4), which was the low round of the day for the Knights... Sophomore Sara Hurwitch turned in her best score of the event in the final round with a 78... The Knights closed out their fall season with the tournament in Tuscaloosa... The team's spring season begins on Feb. 24-26 at the Puerto Rico Lady Classic.
UTEP
UTEP recorded a 16th-place showing at the Price's Give `Em Five Intercollegiate Oct. 17 in Las Cruces, N.M... The Miners posted a team total of 959 with rounds of 319, 318 and 322 respectively...Deborah Martinez led UTEP, tying for 35th place (77-78-77-232)... Ana Pastor tied for 62nd place (79-78-83-240) and Elizabeth Sobczak tied for 72nd place (82-79-82-243)... The Miners will be back in action Nov. 4-5 at the Texas State Invitational in Austin, Texas.
