UAB women's soccer player Sally Palmer has made a large impact on the Blazers' program, both on and off the field, since her arrival in Birmingham. The Texas native has helped lead UAB to unprecedented success as the Blazers have captured the Conference USA Tournament championship and earned berths in the NCAA Tournament in two of the past three years.

Palmer is coming off a stellar junior season as a starting forward for the Blazers. She led the team and was among the league leaders in points with 20. She also was among the elite goals scored and game-winning goals. A C-USA All-Freshman Team member in 2005, Palmer has been named second-team All-Conference USA in each of the past two years. In addition, following her junior season, she was tabbed All-Southeast Region by Soccer Buzz and was also an all-region selection by the NSCAA.

A frequent participant in community service projects, Palmer has also excelled academically as the civil engineering major earned a spot on the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll in both 2005 and 2006.
