C-USA Preseason Offensive Player of the Year Sophia Mundy picked up her first weekly award after leading the Cougars to a pair of wins with three goals. Rice senior keeper Amy McClintock and SMU sophomore Ashley Gunter shared the Defensive Player of the Week honor.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sophia Mundy, Houston
Senior, Forward/Midfielder, Katy, Texas
Mundy tallied three goals on the weekend as UH defeated McNeese State (3-1) and Texas State (4-1). The senior recorded the game-winner against McNeese and netted a pair of goals against the Bobcats for the fifth multiple-goal game of her career.

Co-DEFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Amy McClintock, Rice
Senior, Goalkeeper, St. Louis, Mo.
McClintock made three saves on the way to posting her sixth consecutive shutout, the longest scoreless streak in Rice history. The Owls improve to 8-0-1 on the season, with McClintock in goal in all but one match. She lowered her season GAA to 0.23.

Ashley Gunter, SMU
Sophomore, Goalkeeper, Lancaster, Pa.

Gunter did not allow a goal in 155 minutes of play this week as SMU posted shutouts against TCU (2-0) and Oral Roberts (4-0). She was credited with the complete game shutout against the Horned Frogs with five saves. She also had two saves against ORU before coming out of the match with 25 minutes to play.
