C-USA Women's Soccer Players of the Week

UAB forward Tara Kidwell found the back of the net five times over the weekend in a pair of UAB victories to help earn her this week’s C-USA Offensive Player of the Week honors. Saint Louis sophomore Courtney Hulcer earned the Defensive Player of the Week accolade after filling in at sweeper for the Billikens’ defense that pushed its consecutive-shutout streak to five matches.

Senior, Forward, Leesburg, Va.
Kidwell recorded her second hat trick of the season, scoring three goals in UAB’s 4-0 shutout over Southern Miss. The senior also scored twice in the Blazers’ 3-2 win over Tulane. For the weekend, Kidwell had five goals to give her 10 for the season. She leads the league with six goals in C-USA contests.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Courtney Hulcer, Saint Louis
Sophomore, Defender/Midfielder, Saint Louis, Mo.
Hulcer split time between the sweeper and wide midfield spots in a pair of league shutouts over the weekend. Saint Louis now has five consecutive shutouts in C-USA play and has blanked eight of its last nine opponents. The five straight shutouts by the Billikens matches the school record.
