A pair of Saint Louis players swept this week's Conference USA women's soccer awards as the Billikens are off to a perfect 7-0-0 start in C-USA play. Sophomore Dee Guempel scored seven points over the weekend with two goals and three assists and moved into the top spot in scoring for conference games. SLU keeper Amanda Martin had only allowed one goal from C-USA competition and has compiled an impressive 0.37 goals against average this season.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Guempel netted a pair of goals over the weekend as the Billekens extend their win streak to seven games and a perfect 7-0-0 record in C-USA play. Guempel tallied five points in Friday’s 4-1 victory at UAB with one goal and assisting on the other three. She also scored the insurance goal in Sunday’s 2-0 shutout at USF. In conference games, Guempel has scored a league-best 17 points and is tied for first with six goals and five assists.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Martin recorded her ninth shutout of the season as the Billikens defeated USF, 2-0, on the road Sunday. The win was also the seventh straight for Saint Louis as Martin has given up only one goal in conference play and has a 0.37 goals against average on the season. Martin also made 10 saves against an aggessive UAB offense on Friday.
