Saint Louis continued its winning ways, extending its streak to seven consecutive victories and an unblemished 7-0-0 record in C-USA play. Sophomore Dee Guempel scored a goal and assisted on the other three Billiken goals in a 4-1 victory against defending conference champion UAB. The Blazers did snap Saint Louis’ five-game stretch of consecutive shutouts with a Jillian Porto goal in the 50th minute.

Louisville held onto the No. 2 spot in the conference standings with a 1-0 shutout at Cincinnati on Sunday and a non-conference win against intrastate foe Morehead State. The Cardinals and Billikens both have an 11-3-1 overall record. Charlotte, DePaul, East Carolina and Marquette each posted a pair of conference wins over the weekend. With Sunday’s 3-0 shutout of Houston, Marquette has now won four in a row and goalkeeper Katie Bissen earned her fourth shutout of the season.
