A pair of freshman, East Carolina's Amanda Broz and Krista Turner of Memphis, share this week's Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week. Broz scored the game-winning goal in the Pirates' 1-0 victory over Rice Sunday to improve to 8-0-0 at home. Memphis boasts the same impressive home record and 9-0-1 in its last 10 outings. Turner assisted on all three Tiger goals in a 3-0 win over shutout, then added the first goal in a 3-1 victory against SMU. ECU's Kat Norris was also recognized as the Defensive Player of the Week as the senior has led the Pirates to 10 shutouts this season.

Broz recorded the game-winning goal with three minutes in regulation to lead the Pirates to an important 1-0 victory over Rice on Sunday. It was the third career goal for the freshman as ECU picked up its first win against the Owls. She was also credited with an assist in Friday's 3-0 shutout of Houston.

Turner started the weekend by assisting on all three Memphis goals in a 3-0 victory over Tulsa. She then netted the first goal against SMU on Sunday in a 3-1 win. Turner is the only C-USA player this season to register three assists in a single game. The pair of Memphis wins improved the Tigers' home record to 8-0-0 and 10 straight matches overall without a loss.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kat Norris, East Carolina
Senior, D, Houston, Texas

Norris led the Pirates to their ninth and 10th shutout of the season, respectively, with a 3-0 win over Houston Friday and 1-0 victory against Rice on Sunday. The senior's defense held the Owls to just one shot on goal. ECU has only allowed five goals all season. This is the first career C-USA Player of the Week honor for the two-time all-conference player.
