SLU Sweeps Oct. 29 C-USA Women's Soccer Honors

A pair of Saint Louis juniors, midfielder/forward Erin Schwetye and goalkeeper Meghann Burke, helped the Billikens clinch a spot in the Conference USA Tournament. As a result, they are the Oct. 29 Conference USA Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.
OFFENSIVE: Erin Schwetye, Saint Louis

Saint Louis' ERIN SCHWETYE is the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week for the period ending Oct. 28. The first two goals of her career were pivotal, as one was the game-winner at Marquette and the other came in a 6-0 defeat of DePaul. With the victories, SLU clinched a berth in the Conference USA Tournament Nov. 7-10.
DEFENSIVE: Meghann Burke, Saint Louis
Jr., GK, St. Louis, Mo.
MEGHANN BURKE of Saint Louis is the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending Oct. 28. She recorded six saves in back-to-back shutouts at Marquette and against visiting DePaul. She owns the SLU career record with 26, and the two wins clinched SLU's berth in the Conference USA Tournament.
