EL PASO, Texas - In match four of the 2007 Conference USA Women's Soccer Championship at University Field on the campus of UTEP Wednesday night, host and third-seeded UTEP outlasted No. 6 Colorado College, 3-2, in double overtime. C-USA Offensive Player of the Year Jami Tullius took a two-touch pass from Jo Radcliffe and Lauren Hamson and hammered home the golden goal just minutes into the second overtime. The score was the 13th of the season for Tullius.

Amara Wilson scored two first half goals for Colorado College, both on assists from Alexa Bannerman to help the Tigers claim a 2-0 advantage at the break. Wilson's second goal came off Bannerman's cross into the box that she one-timed home for her fifth goal of the season.

The Tigers held a 7-4 advantage on shots in the first stanza and had three corner kicks to the Miners none.

UTEP closed the gap to 2-1 in the 58th minute when Tameka Sumter took a Cortney Casey lob in the box and knocked home a score on a scrum.

The Miners later tied the game in the 78th minute when Casey took a shot from the far right wing that bounced past CC keeper Geneva Sills. The goal was the ninth for Casey.

Both teams had scoring chances late in the game, but neither team was able to convert and time expired in regulation with the score tied at 2-2.

The teams played to a draw after the first 10 minute sudden victory period, before Tullius scored her goal in the 101st minute in the second OT.

The Tigers out-shot the Miners 16-15 and also had the advantage on corner kicks, 4-3.

Sills played the entire contest in goal for CC and ended the game with six saves, while UTEP keeper Brittany Popoff also played the whole game with a matching six saves, many of which were in critical spots late in regulation and in the first overtime.

UTEP improves to 13-6-2 with the win and will face No. 2 Memphis in Friday's second semifinal contest at 7:30 p.m. MST. Colorado College ends its regular season at 10-6-3.
