Softball Players of the Week

Sarah Martz

DePaul sweeps this week's softball C-USA Player of the Week honors with Sarah Martz earning Hitter of the Week and Lindsay Chouinard claiming C-USA Pitcher of the Week accolades. The Blue Demons are currently on a five-game win streak and stand in first place in the team standings with a 7-1 conference mark.

HITTER OF THE WEEK
SARAH MARTZ, DEPAUL
Sophomore, OF, Lanark, Ill.
Martz batted .357 (8-for-16) in five games last weekend as the Blue Demons went 5-0. She extended a five-game hitting streak, while also totaling nine multiple-hit games for the season. In wins over Charlotte and Houston, she notched two doubles, one triple, one RBI and seven runs scored on the week.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
LINDSAY CHOUINARD, DEPAUL
Junior, LHP, Fresno, Calif.
Chouinard extended her consecutive win streak to six after claiming victories in all four appearances last week against Charlotte and Houston. In 24 1/3 innings pitched on the week, she completed three games and struck out 30 with only three walks.
