DePaul Softball Ranked 25th In Latest ESPN.Com/USA Softball Top 25 Poll

DePaul entered the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll on Tuesday after sweeping a C-USA road series at USF this past weekend. The Blue Demons have won 23 of their last 26 games and lead C-USA with a 19-2 record in league play entering the final weekend of play.
DePaul can wrap up its fourth C-USA regular season title this weekend with just one victory over second-place Louisville. The teams will face each other in a three-game series in Chicago with the top seed in the upcoming C-USA Softball Tournament on the line.
With only one week remaining in the regular season, Michigan holds the top spot in the poll for a seventh consecutive week. The Wolverines have a showdown with Northwestern this week to decide the Big 10 regular season champion, but are eyeing a spot in Oklahoma City for the NCAA Women’s College World Series June 2-8.
Georgia enters the top 10 this week after clinching the SEC regular season title with a 24-3 record, while UCLA dropped to No. 12 with losses to Washington, Cal and Stanford. Florida took the biggest tumble this week falling from No. 16 to No. 22 after losing six in a row in conference play.
DePaul entered the poll at No. 25 for the first time this season after Creighton fell to No. 26 with losses to Drake and Southeast Missouri State.
