ORLANDO, Fla. - Allison Kime tossed her fifth one-hitter of the season and provided the game winning RBI to lead host and No. 4 UCF to a 1-0 victory over No. 3 Tulsa in game five of the 2007 C-USA Softball Championship presented by Coca-Cola on Friday.

A first-team All-Conference selection at pitcher, Kime went the distance and had no-hitter through six innings before surrendering her only hit to lead off seventh. She struck out four Tulsa hitters and only walked two.

Kime and Tulsa starter Julie Fennell were locked up in a pitcher's duel to begin the game as both pitchers did not allow a hit through three innings.

UCF (37-25) scored its first and only run of the game in the fourth inning. CiCi Alvarez led off the frame with a single down the left field line and advanced to second on a Breanne Javier groundout. After a Hillary Barrow walk, Kime helped her own cause with a single up the middle to score Alvarez and give her team the 1-0 lead.

Kime then cruised through the top of fifth and sixth innings, but the Hurricane would not go quietly and threatened in the seventh.

Lauren Lindsay led off with a double down the left field line for TU's only of the game. Kelly McGlasson then sacrificed Lindsay to third with only one out. After a Sara Dyer walk, Kime induced a strikeout and a foul out to end the threat and secure the one-run victory.

Kime is now 23-12 on the season and registered her 17th RBI of the season. She now has 254 strikeouts in 2007 and a miniscule 0.88 ERA.

Fennell fell to 9-11 with the loss and registered eight strikeouts and only two walk in six innings of action.

UCF advances to Friday's 4 p.m. game against No. 2 East Carolina. Tulsa concludes its regular season at 30-28.
