TUSLA, Okla. - As if setting school records and helping lead her team to its second NCAA Regional appearance in three years were not enough, senior Sara Dyer added two more awards to her trophy case. College sports information directors across the country voted Dyer to the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team for the second consecutive year. She also earned Lowe's All-Senior All-America First Team.

The first baseman has maintained a 3.94 grade point average while double majoring in communications and education. On the field, Dyer posted a .335 batting average and .525 slugging percentage. She is Tulsa's all-time leader for hits, doubles in a game, season and career. Dyer is a four-time all-conference performer.

Dyer was a finalist for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award. An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School, the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award has grown into the nation's premier tribute to college seniors. The award identifies personal qualities that define a complete student-athlete, with criteria including excellence in the classroom, character and community, as well as the candidate's performance on the field.
