Tulsa Volleyball Heads to NCAA Championship

Dallas, Texas - The University of Tulsa volleyball team continues its season of firsts with its inaugural appearance in the NCAA Championship. The Golden Hurricane will face host and ninth-seed Kansas State in opening round action in Manhattan, Kan., on Friday. The Wildcats will be the host for the first and second rounds that feed into the Stanford Region on Dec. 7-8. Oregon and Missouri State will also participate in the Manhattan Regional this weekend. C-USA VOLLEYBALL NOTEBOOK & STATISTICS Tulsa (27-8) earned an automatic bid by winning the Conference USA Championship tournament. Kansas State were ranked 12th-nationally in the last AVCA poll, before falling the No. 3 Texas in the regular-season finale. Oregon posted a 20-10 regular-season record, including a 9-9 record in the Pac 10. Missouri State recorded a 25-7 record in 2007 with a semi-final appearance in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.
