Tulsa Finishes Record-Setting Season In NCAA Tournament

Manhattan, Kan. - The University of Tulsa won 27 matches for the second consecutive season. The Golden Hurricane could not make it 28 however as ninth seeded Kansas State Wildcats eliminated TU 3-0 (30-24, 30-20, 30-23) at Ahearn Fieldhouse. Senior Fabiola Nepomuceno led the TU attack with 11 kills, the only TU player to reach double-figures. Fellow senior Julia Silva finished with nine kills, to go along with 26 assists. Junior Malorey Grove led TU with 17 digs. Tulsa concludes the season with a 27-9 record on the season, in its first NCAA appearance in school history. Kansas State, now 23-8, advances to face Oregon on Saturday at 7 p.m. Earlier in the day Oregon swept Missouri State 3-0 (31-29, 30-20, 31-29).
